Emeline Smith
I am a current undergraduate student at St. Olaf College studying Psychology and Creative writing with a concentration in family studies. I am heavily involved in my school work and currently work as a peer mentor as well as a student writer for St. Olaf’s marketing team! I am hoping to pursue graduate school after getting my bachelor’s and then a career in forensic psychology following graduation from graduate school.
I also have interned for a non-profit known as Colorado Youth Congress for three years advocating for youth mental health and racial justice as well as heading their networking team. During my time with Colorado Youth Congress I testified to pass two bills (both passing unanimously), gave a TEDx talk on youth voice, helped to implement school trainings regarding mental health and racial justice, helped co-write and share a public letter, and served as a student leader and advocate!
I graduated from DSST: Green Valley Ranch High School with all honors, the school’s core value award, and a certificate from being on the school’s entrepreneurship track (allowing me to gain skills regarding budgeting, negotiation, business law, and leadership skills).
