Shuniti Taddese

When I first graduated high school from DSST: Green Valley Ranch, I attended the University of Pennsylvania for 2 years as a nursing major. A lot of struggles came after that, leading me to withdraw and take a break for 2 years. Now, I am currently a student at CCD studying mechanical engineering and plan to transfer to a four-year institution in the fall of 2025. The long journey I experienced and still am experiencing now has been one of the biggest things to shape who I am and who I want to be in the world.

My biggest goal in life is to find my place and help others do the same. I’ve learned over and over that life can’t be predictable and your place may change over time. Education rooted in creating intrinsic motivation and a positive sense of self makes finding your way so much easier.
