Jose Delgado

Jose is currently a graduate student at UC San Diego in Jacobs School of engineering pursuing his Master of Science in Bioengineering with a Medical Specialization. He previously attended UC Santa Barbara as an undergrad and received his Bachelor of Science in Biology.

He graduated from DSST Green Valley Ranch high school and is appreciative of the skills he was able to hone while attending. Jose is a recipient of the Gates Millenium Scholarship and attributes this accomplishment to being a DSST alum. Because of this scholarship, Jose has gotten the opportunity to sail around the world and study abroad 3 times, visiting a total of 19 countries. He was also a McNair Scholar at UC Santa Barbara and has published two scientific papers in the field of organic chemistry and biology.

Jose is eager to finish his masters in March of 2022 and plans on working in biotech. With experience in organic chemistry, biology, and engineering, he hopes to design and create biomedical devices and technologies that will revolutionize the world.
