As an undergraduate, she worked as a Teacher in Residence at Mountain Vista Community School, where she served a diverse population of students. At Mountain Vista, Sandra enjoys collaborating with her peers and learning new innovative ways to meet each student’s unique needs.
As a graduate of DSST Public Schools: Green Valley Ranch, she is proud to start her professional teaching career with Denver Public Schools on the Swigert Elementary School faculty. DPS helped her realize the power of education. She values diversity, community, and building on students’ strengths and interests.
